Abe Vigoda is More Bout it than You

California's self proclaimed "tropical-punk" four piece, Abe Vigoda is back with a new 5 song EP called Reviver. It's fucking good too. While most indie bands during this day and age are trying desperately to recreate some nastalgic era that's long gone and probably shouldn't be revisited in the first place, these dudes are keeping it realer than most while forging ahead and creating their own sound. It's artsy, it sounds fresh, it'll make you cooler if you know about it. As with any band that gets better with age, you can't help but go back after listening to Reviver and find new appreciation for in older shit. To the untrained ear, they might just sound like noise. But within that noise lies beauty, and it's no wonder that they're all skaters. I won't even try to describe their sound to you because what good would that do? Just give them a listen...or don't, but there's a method to their madness for sure. NO Age's drummer (what up, Dean?) is a believer, so much that he asked them to be the first band on his new label 'Post Premium Medium.' My advice? Pretend you know what's good and grab that shit after the jump!

Back Like Cooked Crack!

So yea we're back at it for another round in the fight I guess. Whatever, whatever, I doubt anyone was aware of our absence but it's all good. As the philosopher Aaron Bondaroff would say "it's you versus you, me versus me, I have no time to hate." So with that said; here's a little nugget of pure goodness me and my PNC have currently been enjoying. It comes in the form of the holy one, commonly known to y'all as Cee-Lo Green with his PNC, Danger Mouse or Gnarls Barkley, recorded live at the infamous KCRW in Seattle. Freeload it if you know what's good, buster. You don't, though.

"It's about getting stoked and acting on it, you know what I mean?" Spike Jonze

Note to Amir: We are the renegades of fuck, so blog as amir and I'll blog as thom and we'll be blog as fuck...

Thats just a side note to what I really need to get off my chest.

Spike Jonze.

If you don't know who I am talking about leave the site... NOW.

Spike, not Spiz'ike, had a vision for Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. IMDB tells us: (It is) An adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, where Max, a mischievous little boy, creates his own world - a forest in habited by fabulous wild creatures who crown Max as their ruler. (I crown Spike as my leader)

Warner Brothers is of course funding the 75 million dollar film, and killing it too.
...and I don't mean it in no nice way

now cut to the tape... WATCH THIS NIGGA YOU AINT GOT NO CHOICE

REALLY?????
REALLY?
Really?
Really.

Now here is Michigan J Frog, the retired spokes person for WB, giving his interpretive dance of how its gona be for all of us as we experience the truth to come...

M J Frog performing "Why I quit the WB"

Warner Brothers Studios could be firing Spike off this project-- so I hear through the grape vine. Apparently it's too dark for a kid's movie. Wait, I didn't know Spike did kids movies. Did anyone else see Being John Malkovich in 1999 when they were twelve years old besides me? Maybe, and they probably asked themselves the same question I did, "what the fuck?"
Now I'm asking the same question all over again. What the fuck is your deal WB. Adaptation, Malkovich, Hot Chocolate, Yeah Right, Fully Flared... has he made a mistake yet?
Listen all yo, it's a sabotage.
